Eight food products sold in stores were found to be non-compliant with existing documents.

The Competition Committee has noted that measures are being taken in the established order to address the deficiencies identified during the control purchase, and to prevent the sale of substandard products.

8 food products sold in Uzbekistan stores were found to be non-compliant with current documents according to laboratory tests. This was reported by the Competition Committee announced.

It is noted that samples of 9 types of food products were purchased from trade branches in the city of Tashkent for control purchase and were formally registered and submitted for testing to accredited laboratories according to the established procedure.

According to the conclusion of laboratories accredited by the Sanitary-Epidemiological Wellbeing and Public Health Committee’s National "Referens" and "Texnostandart-NEO" LLC, 8 out of the 9 food products, i.e., 88 percent, were found to be non-compliant with the existing technical regulation documents.

Among them, deficiencies according to technical regulations or standards related to the composition, labeling, and packaging of a product were found to belong to the following manufacturers:

  • "BRUNI" chocolate cake product — manufacturing company "Almerro Group" LLC;
  • "SELLATILGAN MOL GOʼSHTI oliy nav" Canned beef product — manufacturing company "Marmaks" SP LLC;
  • "BIO KEFIR" kefir — manufacturing company "DIL-BAH DAIRY GROUP" LLC;
  • "Qand" product — manufacturing company "Prima industries group" LLC;
  • "Chernogolovka" carbonated soft drink — manufacturing company "Aqua Products" SP LLC;
  • "Urussa" sunflower oil — manufacturing company "Resurs" oil extraction plant;
  • "Кунжутное масло" oil product — manufacturing company "Maxmadjon Nurafshon" PE;
  • "Sedana yogʻi" oil product — manufacturing company "Maxmadjon Nurafshon" PEs. 

The Competition Committee noted that measures are being taken according to the established procedure to rectify the deficiencies identified during the control purchase and to prevent the sale of substandard products.
