At the conclusion of productive negotiations held in Kuala Lumpur, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Prime Minister of Malaysia Anwar Ibrahim signed a joint statement on deepening bilateral cooperation on the path to strategic partnership. This was reported by the Presidential press service.
Furthermore, the following documents were adopted:
- Agreement on cooperation in the field of assessing conformity to "halal" standards;
- Agreement on cooperation and mutual assistance in customs affairs;
- Agreement on cooperation in the field of higher education;
- Agreement on cooperation in the field of healthcare;
- Agreement on cooperation in the field of culture;
- Agreement on cooperation in the field of forensic activities;
- Agreement on academic-diplomatic cooperation;
- Memorandum on cooperation in the development of "smart" cities;
- A joint plan for deepening the partnership in the fight against corruption in the years 2025-2026.
