Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan plan to finish the installation of automated water measurement devices along the Syrdarya this year, reports "Dunyo" IA.
"The implementation of water-saving technologies in Uzbekistan is progressing rapidly. There is a special information-analysis center here. The experts of this center reported to us today. We have reached a bilateral agreement. Our employees will visit Uzbekistan in March to get acquainted with their work," – quotes the opinion of Nurzhan Nurzhigitov, the Minister of Water Resources and Irrigation of Kazakhstan, by the international news agency "Kazinform".
According to the agency, Uzbekistan has also reduced water consumption by up to 15 percent by concreting canals.
