The National Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan has announced data on the average salary for the first half of 2025.

According to the official report, the average monthly salary across the country exceeded 5.9 million soums. This represents a 17.2% increase compared to the same period last year.

The average salary in the capital exceeded 10 million

By region, the highest average salary was recorded in Tashkent City — 10.1 million soums. This is 18.8% higher than the indicator from a year ago. The salary level in the capital remains the highest in the country.

In Navoi region, the average monthly salary amounted to 7.4 million soums, which is 13.4% more than last year. In Tashkent region, this indicator was recorded at 5.6 million soums, showing a 15.3% increase.

What explains the differences between regions?

According to the Statistics Committee, variations in salary levels may be linked to the degree of economic development of regions, the activity of leading sectors, and labor market conditions.

Analysts suggest that the relatively developed industrial, financial, and service sectors in Tashkent and Navoi could be the reason for their higher salary indicators. At the same time, average salaries in other regions remain below the national level.
