Actor Muslim Yunusov's appeal about the difficulties he encountered in the process of registering his child's disability was discussed on social media. The situation was studied by Shahnoza Mirziyoyeva, first deputy director of the National Agency for Social Protection, and practical assistance was provided to the family. Shahnoza Mirziyoyeva reported this.
She noted that the procedure for determining disability is uniform and transparent for all citizens.
It was also noted that early intervention, rehabilitation and habilitation, day care, and home care services introduced this year are free for children and their families.
If at any stage of the disability determination process money is demanded from the family or the process is unreasonably prolonged, this constitutes a violation of legislation. Such a situation cannot be justified by any reason.
Shahnoza Mirziyoyeva emphasized that citizens' opinions and appeals are of great importance in identifying shortcomings in the system.
"It is not always possible to immediately identify all existing shortcomings in a large system. Therefore, citizens' appeals are of great importance in identifying and eliminating weak points in the system," she said.
It was noted that it is important for the services being introduced to bring practical benefit to people and to be equal, targeted, and convenient for every citizen.
