The amount of PM10 in the city air was 96 µg/m³, which did not exceed the established norm of 300 µg/m³. However, the PM2.5 indicator was 74 µg/m³, which is noted to be 1.2 times higher than the permitted norm of 60 µg/m³.
Since PM2.5 particles can penetrate deep into human respiratory tracts, their increase indicates a deterioration in air quality. In such times, it is especially recommended that children, the elderly, as well as individuals with chronic respiratory or cardiovascular diseases take precautionary measures.
Air quality is being continuously monitored through automatic observation stations, and based on the obtained indicators, information is relayed to the relevant authorities, and it is stated that necessary measures will be taken.
