Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed a decree on August 12 to increase wages, pensions, and benefits.

Starting from September 1st, pensions and benefits in Uzbekistan will be increased by 15%. From October 1st, salaries of budget sector employees will be increased by 10%, and salaries of educational and medical workers will be increased by 15%. The minimum wage (+10%) and the Basic Calculation Amount (BCA) (+10.3%) were also set.

In addition, the following pensions and benefits will also be increased by 15%:

  • the minimum amount of disability pension for those with an incomplete work record — from 800 thousand soums to 920 thousand soums per month;
  • the amount of disability benefits for citizens unable to work and benefits for persons with disabilities from childhood — from 800 thousand soums to 920 thousand soums;
  • the minimum pension amount for persons with disabilities and participants of the 1941 — 1945 wars, as well as for former juvenile prisoners of fascist concentration camps and persons who worked during the siege of Leningrad, considering surcharges — from 3.53 million soums to 4.06 million soums;
  • the amount of old-age pensions for recipients whose pension is from the minimum old-age pension amount (834,000 soums) to 920,000 soums — up to 920,000 soums;
  • the amount of benefits for elderly citizens without the necessary work record — from 648 thousand soums to 745 thousand soums;
  • the minimum amount of old-age pension for those with an incomplete work record, including additional payment — from 648 thousand soums to 745 thousand soums;
  • the amount of benefits for the legal guardians of children under 18 years old with disabilities who require care — from 648 thousand soums to 745 thousand soums;
  • the amount of survivor's benefits for one non-working member of the family — set at 745,000 soums per month, and an additional 244,000 soums is added for each subsequent non-working family member (previously 648,000 + 212,000);
  • the minimum amount of survivor's pension for one non-working family member — set at 745,000 soums per month (previously 648,000 soums), and a pension is paid for each subsequent non-working family member according to the existing procedure.
