According to the DXX report, according to which, during a control inspection at a brick factory owned by one of the LLCs in Pakhtachi district, the chief specialist of the Technical Regulation Inspection's Samarkand regional division exaggerated the deficiencies found, claiming that substandard brick products worth 226 million UZS had been produced and sold.
Subsequently, he demanded 3,000 USD in exchange for reducing the penalty of 226 million UZS mentioned in the report to be drafted on the conducted inspection down to 25 million UZS.
During the operative actions conducted by the DXX officers, this cunning chief specialist was caught red-handed in his office accepting a bribe of 2,500 USD as tangible evidence.
Currently, a criminal case has been initiated against this official under Article 210 Part 2 "b" of the Criminal Code, and pre-trial detention has been applied as a preventive measure.
Investigative actions are being conducted, the report says.
