The mayor of Tashkent city, Shavkat Umurzakov, according to the decree of September 7 has planned to allocate 732.6 billion UZS for preparing the capital for the autumn-winter season.
The first deputy of the mayor of Tashkent city on issues of construction, development of communications, ecology, and landscaping, Bakhtiyor Rahmonov, is leading a working group consisting of a total of 32 people, including the heads of municipal service enterprises and other structures.
The group will deal with preparing the economy sectors, social facilities, and housing stock for stable operation in the 2024/2025 autumn-winter season and resolving urgent problems based on appeals from the population.
Reports from responsible departments, divisions, and district leaders on preparing for the autumn-winter season and resolving issues raised by the population are scheduled to be heard weekly.
Disciplinary sanctions will be proposed by the working group against responsible officials who fail to fulfill or unsatisfactorily fulfill the established tasks within the confirmed parameters. Personal responsibility will be imposed on mayors and members of working groups for the completion of assigned tasks.
By October 1, manufacturing and service enterprises, including municipal service organizations, as well as social facilities' heating supply boilers, engineering-communication objects, and equipment, are ordered to be repaired and equipped.
Repairing 2,297 km of electrical transmission lines and 2,413 transformer substations, comprehensive repair of 6.8 km of gas pipelines and reconstruction of 10.1 km, comprehensive repair of 41 gas distribution points, pressure testing and cleaning of 215 km of gas pipelines, and painting of 108.6 km of pipelines are planned.
Repairs of 2,888 multi-apartment buildings, including 212.73 thousand square meters of roof parts, 1,604 electrical distributing boards, facades of 30 multi-apartment buildings, installation of 47.3 thousand energy-saving sensor lamps in windows, doorways, and others are envisaged.
Veolia Energy Tashkent company is to prepare 634 boilers and 490.5 km of heating networks for the autumn-winter season. For this purpose, the capital repairs of 29 boilers and 59.7 km of heating networks, and current repairs of 605 boilers and 430.8 km of heating networks are planned.
"Tashkent city water supply" needs to repair 65 pump equipment and 2399.2 km of drinking water networks.
Comprehensive repairs of 7 hospitals and polyclinics, 5 higher education institutions, and 1 sports facility, and current repairs of 28 schools, 26 kindergartens, 8 hospitals and polyclinics, and 18 cultural facilities are expected.
Coal products will be delivered to schools in the Bektemir, Mirzo Ulugbek, Sergeli, and Yangihayot districts.
In addition, responsible persons must develop comprehensive measures to prevent emergency situations in the use of natural gas.
District working groups must establish a 24-hour communication system for receiving and promptly reviewing citizen appeals.
The allocated 732.6 billion UZS will be directed to the following:
- preparing heating supply objects and technological equipment for stable operation in the coming season — 623.8 billion UZS;
- capital and current repairs of multi-storey buildings — 58.9 billion UZS;
- preparing drinking water supply objects and technological equipment — 27.2 billion UZS;
- preparing gas supply objects — 16.8 billion UZS;
- preparing electrical networks and equipment — nearly 3 billion UZS;
- repairing social sector objects — nearly 2.8 billion UZS.
2.79 billion UZS will be allocated from the republic budget, the remaining part will be financed by management and service companies, as well as enterprises ("Regional electric networks", "Hududgazta’minot", "Uzsuvta’minot", Veolia Energy Tashkent and others).
