Employees of the State Security Service for the Kashkadarya region, in collaboration with the regional department of the Economic Crime Counteraction Department, have detained the Deputy Mayor of Dekhkanabad district during a special operation. The Deputy Mayor was caught accepting 5 thousand US dollars next to the administrative building of the district administration, in exchange for signing the acceptance certificate for an object built within the beautification of the Qorashina township.
In addition, the operation continued and the leading specialist of the “Single Customer Service Engineering Company” state unitary enterprise under the Kashkadarya regional administration was also detained. They were caught accepting 15 million UZS to fix the deficiencies of the said object by formalizing a comparative certificate.
Currently, criminal proceedings have been initiated against the deputy mayor and the leading specialist of the state unitary enterprise under Article 210 Section 2 Subsection “b” of the Criminal Code, and detention as a preventive measure has been applied.
In a special operation conducted by the State Security Service's Navoi region employees, in cooperation with the regional department of the Department under the Prosecutor General's Office, the director of a limited liability company in Navoi city was detained. He was caught after taking 20 million UZS for securing a privileged loan of 100 million UZS from a bank, based on a recommendation letter from an assistant to the hokim of one of the Mahalla citizens' assemblies in Khathirchi district.
Moreover, the operation continued and the previously convicted assistant to the hokim was detained with material evidence when he received 10 million UZS for his services, and the specialist of the joint stock commercial bank in Khathirchi district was also caught taking 2 million UZS for preparing the necessary documents and allocating the loan funds.
Regarding these individuals, criminal proceedings are being conducted under Articles 168 and 211 of the Criminal Code, and investigative actions are underway.
During a special operation conducted by the State Security Service's Andijan region employees, in cooperation with the Department at the Prosecutor General’s Office and the regional internal affairs department, an assistant to the hokim of one of the Mahalla citizens' assemblies in Shahrikhan district was detained. Exploiting his official position, he had offered to facilitate the allocation of a privileged credit of 100 million UZS to a citizen engaging in entrepreneurship in exchange for 9 million UZS and was caught with physical evidence.
Currently, criminal proceedings have been initiated against the assistant to the hokim under Articles 168 and 214 of the Criminal Code, and detention as a preventive measure has been applied.
As previously reported, in a special operation carried out in May of this year by the State Security Service of the Syrdarya region and the regional prosecutor's office, the Deputy Mayor of Khavos district was detained. He demanded 20 thousand US dollars and received an advance of 1000 US dollars for not transferring lands belonging to a private enterprise engaged in agriculture production and export to the reserve lands of the hokimlik. Instead, he offered to facilitate irrigation works and ensure that no one interfered with their operations. He was caught with physical evidence.
Proceedings under Article 25, 168 Section 4 Subsection “a” and Article 28,211 Section 3 Subsection “a” of the Criminal Code were initiated against the Deputy Mayor of Khavos district, and investigative activities were conducted.
According to the verdict of the Sardoba district court on criminal cases, the mentioned official was sentenced to 7 years of imprisonment.
