Eight individuals involved in illegally transporting and selling a number of vehicles registered in Uzbekistan to Tajikistan have been exposed. The Customs Committee  reported this.

According to reports, they transferred the cars in exchange for 100−200 dollars. The cars were transported through the "Andarkhan", "Oybek", "Pop", "Khovosobod" control and passage points.

A total of 59 cars of various brands, including BYD, Volkswagen, Kaiyi X3, Honda, Geometry, Faw ID4, and others, were transported to Tajikistan. All of these cars were illegally sold in the territory of the neighboring country.

The Customs Committee has once again urged citizens to be vigilant when transferring automobiles to other individuals based on a power of attorney.

"If you encounter problems retrieving the vehicle given on the basis of a power of attorney or if you have suspicions and doubts about the car being taken out of Uzbekistan, we urge you to promptly contact law enforcement agencies," — the committee's message stated.
