President Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the “Ugam River” tourist complex being built in the Bostanlyk district of the Tashkent region. The President's press service reported this.

Previously an undeveloped, rocky area, this site along the Ugam river is now the focus of a project worth more than 1 trillion UZS, covering nearly 14 hectares. Currently, 17 multi-storey buildings are under construction. They will comprise 5, 6, and 7 floors, totaling 870 apartments.

In addition, 16 cottages, 3 restaurants, over twenty trade and service centers, children's playgrounds, an indoor swimming pool, fitness and sports grounds, an amphitheater, a parking lot, a car bridge, mountain and coastal paths will also be constructed.

With these amenities, the new complex will be able to serve up to 200,000 visitors a year, further boosting the district's tourism potential. The first stage - handing over the multi-storey buildings for use is planned for the beginning of next year.

Our state leader personally visited one of such apartments.

Tourists are drawn to beautiful nature and clean air. Taking this into account, an additional 20,000 seedlings will be planted in the existing grove. Modern technologies will be used to treat 1,000 cubic meters of river water per day. A 2-megawatt thermal heating and cooling system will be installed.

Our President directed relevant officials to expand promotion of the region and attract more tourists to such sites.

The tourism projects are creating more jobs. At the same time, it was emphasized that it is necessary to preserve the traditional professions and crafts of the population. For example, the district is suitable for honey and lemon production. Their development is also important from the perspective of environmental conservation.
