In Uzbekistan, 10 scientific laboratories will be opened in the field of artificial intelligence.

The permanent mission of the country to the UN organized a presentation of Uzbekistan's strategy to develop artificial intelligence technologies by 2030 at the organization's headquarters in New York was held.

The event, organized in collaboration with the UN Counter-Terrorism Directorate and the International Criminal Police Organization, was attended by UN leadership, various experts, as well as representatives of the diplomatic corps accredited in New York.

Participants of the event became closely acquainted with the main directions of the Strategy, as well as the reforms being carried out and achievements made in the field of artificial intelligence development in Uzbekistan. It was emphasized that special attention is being paid to the development of information technologies and the introduction of innovations by the President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

The audience was informed about plans to increase the volume of software and services based on artificial intelligence to 1.5 billion dollars, to open 10 scientific laboratories operating in the field of artificial intelligence, and to strengthen the regulatory legal framework for developing relevant technologies.

At the conclusion of the event, an agreement was reached on further developing cooperation between Uzbekistan and the UN in this area.
