Starting from February 1, train ticket prices in Uzbekistan will be increased by up to 30 percent.

The fare for "Afrosiyob" electric trains is being increased by up to 25 percent, while that for other high-speed passenger trains is being raised by 30 percent.

Starting from February 1, 2025, the ticket prices for VIP and Business class seats on the high-speed "Afrosiyob" trains are to be increased by 25%, Economy class by 20%, and also the ticket prices for the fast passenger trains "Sharq", "Nasaf", and "Uzbekistan" are to be increased by 30%. The press service of Uzbekistan Railways JSC announced this. 

Accordingly, the ticket prices for the "Afrosiyob" trains are as follows:

Tashkent — Bukhara

VIP 994,000 UZS

Business 751,000 UZS

Economy 484,000 UZS

Tashkent — Karshi

VIP 854,000 UZS

Business 634,000 UZS

Economy 406,000 UZS

Tashkent — Samarkand 

VIP 619,000 UZS

Business 450,000 UZS 

Economy 294,000 UZS will be set.

Let us remind you, according to the Decree No. PQ-329 of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated October 10, 2023, “On measures for the radical reform of the railway transport sector of the Republic of Uzbekistan”, starting from January 1, 2024, the practice of state regulation of tariffs for transportation services on high-speed and fast-moving trains is to be abolished, and a mechanism for the regulation of these based on market principles is to be introduced.
