The President of the United States, Donald Trump, could persuade his Ukrainian counterpart, Volodymyr Zelensky, to agree to a ceasefire with Russia until the Easter holiday, following his peace plan. This was reported by the Daily Mail here.

The publication almost described the scenario of the end of the war between the two countries. Trump, who came with the statement that he could stop the conflict between Russia and Ukraine in one day, is now working to stop the war in 100 days. According to unconfirmed information, there is some plan being discussed within Ukraine's political and diplomatic circles to cease fire by April 20.

“It requires stopping Russia's aggression, prohibiting Ukraine's NATO membership, and recognizing Russia's sovereignty over illegally seized territories from Kyiv,” the report says.

In addition, Ukrainian forces will be forced to leave Russia's Kursk region, where they started a counterattack in August. A European military contingent, which may also include British soldiers, will be deployed to protect the demilitarized zone. US forces will not be a part of this contingent.

The European Union will ask Ukraine for help in recovery efforts. According to the German Marshall Fund's analytical center, this could amount to $486 billion (392 billion pounds sterling) over the next ten years.

The implementation of the ceasefire plans will begin with a phone call between Zelensky and the Russian President Vladimir Putin at the beginning of February, their meeting in late February – early March, and the official statement about the ceasefire by April 20, says the report.

The declaration on the agreed parameters to stop the war is expected to be announced by May 9. Afterward, Kyiv will be advised not to extend martial law and to cancel the mobilization of forces.

Trump also wants to organize an International Peace Conference with the help of other countries' mediation to help develop an agreement to stop the war.

Many clauses of the announced plans require concessions from Ukraine. However, Trump plans to continue supporting Ukrainian soldiers and is considering the possibility of joining the European Union by 2030.

However, Russia also gains significant benefits, as the plans include lifting sanctions against Russian energy carriers within a few years. Zelensky's office firmly denies the legality of the peace plans.

“It has not been officially announced yet. Some publications have information... I am sure that it's not President Trump's official plan,” said Zelensky.

The head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, Andrey Yermak, wrote on his Telegram channel that such plans “actually do not exist,” indicating that reports of this kind are often propagated under the guise of accusations commonly spread by Russians.
