Russia struck Kyiv with a ballistic missile.

More than 80 rescuers and 17 fire and rescue vehicles have been deployed to the sites where rocket fragments fell.

Russia this morning, on February 12, launched a ballistic missile attack on the Ukrainian capital Kyiv, resulting in one casualty. This was reported by the Armed Forces of Ukraine. 

“The capital is in turmoil. Air defense forces are engaging. Stay in shelters,” wrote Kyiv Mayor Vitaliy Klitschko on his Telegram channel.

Later, he clarified the situation, stating that in the Obolonskyi district, the fall of missile debris resulted in one person being killed and three others, including a 9-year-old girl, being injured, with two of them hospitalized.

According to the State Emergency Service (SES) of Ukraine, in the Obolonskyi district, two administrative buildings were damaged by the missile attack, one of which caught fire. In the Sviatoshynskyi district, the roof of a multi-story building was on fire, but rescuers were able to extinguish it quickly. Also, in the Goloseevskyi district, a fire broke out in a two-story warehouse building. Additionally, a fire was reported at one of the private enterprises in the Darnytskyi district.

According to the SES, more than 80 rescuers and 17 fire-rescue vehicles were deployed to the sites where missile debris had fallen.

“Putin wants to end the war in Ukraine in this manner,” commented Andriy Yermak, the head of the office of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.

For your information, on December 20, 2024, Russia also carried out a missile attack on Kyiv. At that time, the fall of ballistic missile debris resulted in one person being killed and nine others injured. Additionally, in the Goloseevskyi district, a heating main was damaged, resulting in 630 residential buildings, 16 medical facilities, 17 schools, and 13 kindergartens being left without heating.
