At a meeting with owners of trade shops in Herat province, representatives of the "Taliban" demanded that services not be provided to women who do not fully cover their faces. This was reported by Zamon.uz.
Following this, sellers were forced not to allow women without a hijab or paranja into the shops. It was noted that these measures are being implemented within the framework of a "policy aimed at limiting women's participation in public life."
At the same time, the ban on education for girls in schools and higher education institutions in Afghanistan remains in place. Previously, such restrictions were also imposed in courts, hospitals, government agencies, and even in markets bordering Uzbekistan.
