Sergio Gor and Saida Mirziyoyeva were appointed as co-chairs of the newly established U.S.-Uzbekistan Business Council and Investment Council from the U.S. and Uzbekistan sides, respectively.

"The Council will place special emphasis on expanding investment and export opportunities for the U.S. and Uzbekistan, introducing U.S. technologies and talent into high-growth sectors, especially IT and digital innovation, and developing a level competitive environment for U.S. exporters," the message from the U.S. Embassy in Tashkent states.
