It is reported that it is planned to increase the insurance part of the pension by a coefficient of 1.2, that is, by 20 percent. The additional payment will be at least 1,000 som and at most 10,000 som.
Initially, the indexation coefficient was set at 1.13. It was calculated based on the growth of average wages and consumer prices in 2025.
However, based on the capabilities of the Social Fund budget, it was decided to increase the coefficient to 1.2.
After indexation, the average pension in the country is expected to reach 12,898 som. On average, pensioners will receive an additional 1,753 som to their current payment. This means an increase of nearly 16 percent compared to the current pension amount.
According to preliminary calculations, by October 1, 2026, the number of pensioners in Kyrgyzstan will amount to 832,400.
