For applicants who could not enroll in higher education institutions, a re-selection will be held for vacant places. In it, applicants will be given the opportunity to choose at least five educational directions. This was announced by the head of the Department of Higher Education Organizations, Abdusamat Mamanazarov, in an interview with journalists on August 18.
According to the report, applicants who passed exams in relevant subjects, scored high points, but were not recommended for student status may participate in the re-selection. The selection is held for vacant places remaining within the admission quotas of higher education organizations.
The re-selection is planned to be held next week. In it, applicants will be given the opportunity to re-select at least five educational directions.
“Simply put, we have a concept called the ‘sixth direction.’ But there too, we will create the opportunity to choose at least five directions. It is scheduled for next week,” said Abdusamat Mamanazarov.
Additionally, applicants who could not enroll also have the opportunity to become students under a differentiated tuition contract, that is, a super-contract.
Since last year, higher education institutions have been granted the authority to independently determine the amount of the super-contract. For applicants whose entrance score falls short by 1 to 4 points, the amount of the super-contract is determined based on the number of missing points.
In particular:
— if 1 point is missing — 1.5 times the base tuition contract amount;
— if 2 points are missing — 2 times;
— if 3 points are missing — 2.5 times;
— if 4 points are missing — payment is made in the amount of 3 times.
For applicants who scored higher than 56.7 points but fell short of the admission threshold by up to 4 points, the amount of the super-contract is determined by the higher education institutions themselves.
