In January-June 2026, Kyrgyzstan exported live animals worth 3 million 284.1 thousand dollars. Most of them were delivered to Uzbekistan. This was reported based on data from the National Statistics Committee of Kyrgyzstan.
In six months, 14 thousand 823 head of cattle were exported from Kyrgyzstan abroad. Their export increased by 32 percent in physical volume compared to the same period of 2025.
Also, 194 head of horses worth 84.8 thousand dollars were exported. Horse exports increased by 27.6 percent in physical volume.
Exports of live poultry abroad, however, declined sharply. In six months, 5 thousand 600 poultry were exported worth 3.5 thousand dollars. This amounted to 24.1 percent of the figure in January-June 2025.
Exports of sheep and goats, however, were not carried out in the first half of the year.
Among the countries importing live animals from Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan was the absolute leader. The country purchased almost all of the livestock exported from Kyrgyzstan.
At the same time, Kyrgyzstan itself also imported live animals. In January-June 2026, live animals worth 4 million 439.5 thousand dollars were brought into the country.
In the import structure, the largest share accounted for live poultry. In six months, 915 thousand 169 poultry worth 1 million 521.9 thousand dollars were brought into Kyrgyzstan. This figure increased by 39.2 percent in value terms compared to the same period of the previous year.
Imports of cattle amounted to 5 thousand 285 head worth 1 million 218.5 thousand dollars. In physical volume, this is equal to 37.5 percent of the previous year's figure.
During this period, 1 thousand 123 head of horses worth 1 million 62.4 thousand dollars were imported. Horse imports decreased by 37.6 percent in physical volume.
Imports of live pigs, however, increased by 2.36 times in physical volume. 3 thousand 464 head of live pigs worth 636.7 thousand dollars were brought into Kyrgyzstan.
