A man who threw stones at lions and gazelles at the Tashkent Zoo was fined 2 million 884 thousand soums. This was reported by the zoo's press service.

It was noted that by the decision of the prevention inspector of the internal affairs bodies, the offender was fined in the amount of 2 million 884 thousand soums. He also apologized for his actions.

The incident occurred on August 13. A man visiting the zoo began throwing stones at the lions and gazelles. Because the gazelle enclosure was open, the thrown stones hit the animals.

According to the zoo administration, the man's child also repeated his actions and threw stones at the animals.

Most regrettably, after making sure that the stones he threw had hit the animals, the visitor clapped his hands, demonstrating his satisfaction with what he had done.

After the incident, efforts were made to identify the offender through video surveillance cameras. As a result, his identity was established and measures were taken in accordance with the law.
