Today, on August 21, strong wind and dust storm may be observed in some regions of Uzbekistan, including the city of Tashkent.
According to reports, during the daytime, in some areas of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, Bukhara, Navoi, Kashkadarya, Surkhandarya and Fergana regions, as well as in mountainous areas, wind speed may increase up to 15–20 m/s. In some places, strong wind will be accompanied by dust storm.
In Tashkent city, wind speed is also likely to increase up to 10–12 m/s, and dust storm may rise in some places.
Citizens were asked to follow precautionary measures during strong wind and dust storm.
