In Uzbekistan, the number of bank cards reached 75.7 million.

The number of payment terminals and ATMs also increased, while the volume of cashless payments exceeded 387 trillion soums.

In Uzbekistan, the non-cash payment infrastructure is expanding. As of August 1 this year, the number of bank cards in circulation reached 75.7 million. This was reported by the Central Bank.

According to the data, at the beginning of the year, i.e., as of January 1, the number of bank cards was 68.3 million. Thus, over seven months, the number of cards in circulation increased by 7.4 million, or 10.9 percent.

The number of payment terminals has also increased. The number of terminals, which was 430.8 thousand at the beginning of the year, reached 453.5 thousand by August 1. That is, 22.7 thousand new terminals were put into operation during this period.

The number of ATMs and info kiosks, meanwhile, reached 47 thousand from 40.1 thousand. This indicator grew by 17.3 percent.

A significant increase has also been observed in the volume of non-cash payments. In January-July of this year, receipts through payment terminals amounted to 387.4 trillion soums. For comparison, in the full 12 months of 2025, this figure was 460.3 trillion soums.

According to the Central Bank, while the number of bank cards increased by 10.9 percent, receipts through terminals also grew rapidly. As a result, the average monthly receipt per bank card increased from 562 thousand soums to 731 thousand soums.
