President Shavkat Mirziyoyev inspected the yurt exhibition organized at the “Okqush” complex in the city of Nukus. The President's press service reported this.
About this, the head of our state had given instructions during his visit to the region in 2022. Based on this, more than fifty hectares of land were further beautified, and many yurts were built. The largest yurt has a diameter of 42, a height of 22 meters. It contains administration offices, a kitchen, and other rooms. Various cultural events, forums can be held here.
In the complex, yurts of Turkic peoples such as Karakalpak, Kazakh, Turkmen, Kyrgyz, Bashkir, and those of the Karakalpakstan districts were organized. They reflect the history, culture, and way of life of our brotherly nations.
The President entered these yurts.
- Our roots and fate are one. We need to increase such initiatives, jointly organize festivals to further strengthen the friendship between peoples. It is essential to preserve national crafts, pass them on to the younger generation, prepare apprentices, and expand the publication of books in their native languages for children, - said Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
The garden also has an artificial lake, an islet, and a guest house. These have turned the site into one of the tourism destinations in a short period. Tourists are showing great interest in the yurts, national clothing, and items.
With this, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev concluded his visit to Karakalpakstan and returned to Tashkent.
