President Shavkat Mirziyoyev inspected the construction of the "Tashkent-East" airport on September 4th. visited.
The transport infrastructure in our country is being consistently developed. New roads and bridges are being built, and conveniences for passengers are being enhanced. In particular, in the air transportation network, the airports of Samarkand, Termez, Moynoq, Zomin, Kokand, Urgench have been renewed and put into operation. In recent years, the "Tashkent-East" airport is being reconstructed.
Initially, a 4-kilometer-long runway was built. It has the capacity to accommodate even the heaviest aircraft. Currently, two terminals are being built for high-ranking guests and for business aviation, as well as aprons and hangars. The airport is being equipped with modern radio-technical and meteorological devices of ICAO III-A category, ensuring takeoff and landing in adverse weather conditions.
A presentation was held here on the exterior and interior appearance of the terminals. The leader of our state emphasized the importance of having the facades of buildings in national design, giving more space to warm colors in decoration and equipment. He stressed the necessity of considering all conveniences for welcoming high-ranking guests and holding meetings.
As known, this airport is adjacent to the "New Uzbekistan" park and the Olympic village. Instructions were given for landscaping the complexes and the roadsides, planting flowers, and showcasing our people's culture.
