Several rapid measures were taken by the officers of the State Security Service in cooperation with customs authorities against the illegal circulation of potent drugs in the Fergana region were carried out.
In particular, two citizens residing in the city of Kokand, born in 1983 and 1993, who had previously been convicted, conspired to enrich themselves by agreeing in advance to receive 8,000 doses of the potent drug "Zardex" from a citizen of the Kyrgyz Republic at the section of the Uzbek-Kyrgyz state border passing through the territory of the city of Quvasoy.
Subsequently, they were apprehended while transporting these drugs to a rented house in the city of Kokand for the purpose of future sale.
In another case observed in the city of Kokand, a local bar association lawyer and two citizens born in 1974 and 1984 conspired and were caught with material evidence while selling a total of 4,400 doses of the potent drug "Regapen," disguised as vitamin supplements, for 180 million soums.
It should be noted that all three offenders had previously been convicted.
In another incident, a car moving along the Fergana-Kokand route, driven by a person born in 1983 who had previously been convicted under Part 5 of Article 273 of the Criminal Code, was stopped in the territory of Uchkuprik district.
Upon inspection with witnesses, it was discovered that the vehicle's cabin contained 100 doses of "Tropicamide" and 559 doses of "Regapen," totaling 110 million soums worth of potent drugs, which were duly seized.
The rapid measures continued, and this individual was apprehended while selling 1,400 doses of the potent drug "Regapen" to another buyer in the Koshtepa district for $2,800. The seller was a resident of the Fergana district, born in 1981.
Another car moving in the same direction was stopped in the Uchkuprik district. Upon inspection, it was found to contain 250 doses of the potent drug "Tropicamide," with a total value of 75 million soums, belonging to a resident of Kokand born in 1981 who had previously been convicted of drug-related crimes. The drugs were officially seized in accordance with procedural rules.
It should be emphasized that in all cases, the potent drugs were brought from the Kyrgyz Republic.
Currently, criminal cases have been initiated against these individuals, and pretrial detention measures have been applied.
