The Presidents of Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan awarded honorary titles to representatives of the culture and art sectors of the two countries.
By the decree of Shavkat Mirziyoyev dated September 5 , the following two representatives in the field of culture and arts from Kyrgyzstan were awarded with honorary titles:
- People's Artist of the Republic of Uzbekistan honorary title — Art director and chief conductor of the T. Satylganov Kyrgyz National Philharmonic’s estrada-symphonic orchestra, Omurbayev Nur Santashevich;
- Meritorious Artist of the Republic of Uzbekistan honorary title — independent artist, komuz player Duishenbek uulu Zakirbek.
According to the decree, they were awarded for their significant services in developing the eternal friendship and good neighborliness, as well as strategic partnership relationships between the two countries, elevating mutually beneficial cooperation to a new level; for their brilliant and unique talent, productive creative activity in the field of music and singing which expands interaction in the fields of culture and arts; preserving and enriching our common historical heritage, spiritual values, and traditions, and for their exemplary works in strengthening the fraternal ties between our peoples.
By the decree signed by Sadyr Japarov on the same day , two representatives from Uzbekistan in the field of culture and art were also awarded honorary titles:
- Minister of Culture of Uzbekistan Ozodbek Nazarbekov — People’s Artist of Kyrgyzstan honorary title;
- Senior lecturer of the “Traditional Maqom Performance” department at Yunus Rajabi Institute of Uzbek National Music Arts, Farangiz Mahmudova — Meritorious Artist of Kyrgyzstan title.
As stated in the document, these titles were awarded for their significant contribution to strengthening the friendship and cooperation in the field of culture and art between Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan.
