Ensuring that the children of poor families receive quality education in kindergartens, schools, colleges, and universities has been entrusted to Shahnoza Mirziyoyeva.

Each financially independent institution of higher education announces grants of at least 1 billion som annually.

The President announced the creation of conditions for at least one university graduate in every poor family, especially among women. This was reported by the President's press service here.

In this regard:

  • if the academic performance of students in universities, colleges, and technical schools is at least 80 percent, they will be provided with an interest-free education loan for the next academic year;
  • children of poor families who have scored 80 percent of the required marks for a grant at the entrance to a university, college or technical school will be allocated an additional grant.

In addition, financially independent universities will announce grants worth at least 1 billion UZS annually. These grants will cover between 20 to 80 percent of the tuition fees for children of poor families, based on their academic performance.

The coordination of quality education for children from poor families in kindergartens, schools, technical schools, and universities, and providing comprehensive support to them has been entrusted to the Deputy Director of the National Agency for Social Protection, Shahnoza Mirziyoeva.
