This was announced in a message to passengers from the "Tashkent Metropolitan". stated.

If in 2021, service was provided to 280-300 thousand passengers per day, by 2024, this figure is expected to be 920-930 thousand. By the end of 2024, the number of passengers using the metro per day is expected to reach 1 million.

In order to prevent potential congestion due to the increasing number of passengers and to reduce the travel time from one destination to another, the interval between trains during peak times has been reduced over the last 3 years.

Until 2021, 36 trains were in operation, but over the last 3 years, 29 new modern train sets have been purchased, and by 2024, the number of trains has reached 65.

Starting from the end of this year, it is planned to purchase 48 modern metro wagons and an additional 56 wagons during 2025. As a result of this, it is said in the report that the renewal of the existing rolling stock and the reduction of the interval between trains on routes will be achieved.
