In Uzbekistan, the number of road traffic accidents resulting in death decreased by 1.1%.

The law approved by the senators introduces amendments to the Administrative Responsibility Code with the aim of solving the systemic problems that still persist in ensuring traffic safety.

During the first 6 months of the current year, the total number of road traffic accidents in Uzbekistan decreased by 7.6 percent compared to the same period last year, incidents involving deaths decreased by 1.1 percent, and cases involving bodily injuries decreased by 9.2 percent. This was reported at the 57th plenary session of the Senate.

This achievement was reached through the improvement of the road traffic safety system, including enhancing the culture of adherence to traffic rules among drivers and pedestrians, and creating legal grounds aimed at the complete digitalization of traffic organization.

It is noted that the law “On Amendments and Additions to the Administrative Responsibility Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan” discussed by the senators, which introduces changes aimed at solving systemic problems in ensuring road traffic safety, creating convenience for the population, and fostering respect for laws, is being introduced.

The law was approved by the senators.
