Reports have spread on social media about hundreds of people being deceived after making payments to purchase homes. The Ministry of Construction and Housing and Communal Services provided information regarding this situation.
According to it, construction work was carried out by Strong Cities LLC in the "Chiltogon" neighborhood of Almazar district, Tashkent city, located on Usta Olim 2-berk street. However, the necessary permits and documents were not obtained for this project in accordance with the established legal procedures. In particular, based on the requirements of the Cabinet of Ministers' Resolution No. 200 dated April 20, 2022:
- no construction permit was obtained;
- the architectural-planning assignment was not developed;
- the design and estimate documents were not agreed upon with the Tashkent City Construction Department.
An inspection conducted by the Territorial Inspection for Construction and Housing and Communal Services in Tashkent city revealed that the site had only cadastral documents for the land, while the necessary documents for construction and installation work were missing.
As a result, a notice was sent in accordance with the established procedure, and construction and installation work was halted. Additionally, due to the building's failure to meet seismic safety requirements, the construction company voluntarily carried out dismantling work on the site.
At the same time, representatives of the construction company emphasized that the design and estimate documents, along with other relevant technical documentation, will be reviewed and fully formalized to resume construction work in accordance with the established procedure.
"We would like to remind citizens: when purchasing housing, it is advisable to thoroughly check the availability of all legal documents and permits for the property," the statement reads.
A few days earlier, it was reported that the construction of a multi-story building in the Quyi Chirchiq district of Tashkent region had been halted.
