A video showing a car hitting a school student crossing an undesignated part of the road has been circulated on social media. Video spread.
The Tashkent city police department reported that the incident occurred on September 19, around 13:45, in the Sergeli district, on the street Fayzli Tashkent.
The driver, born in 1983, M.A., moving in a BYD brand car with the state license plate 01 444 VFA, hit a pedestrian.
As a result of the road traffic accident, the minor born in 2015, L.S., died from the injuries sustained while being taken to the hospital.
A criminal case has been initiated under Article 266, part 2, of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan (“Violation of the rules of road traffic or operation of vehicles”). Investigative actions are currently underway.
