A plan is being considered to make a section of the road from Bektemir district in Tashkent to Chorvoq toll. The press service of the Ministry of Economy and Finance reported this.
It was reported that a meeting took place between the leadership of the ministry and the director of projects in Moldova and Romania for Turkey's Onur Group company.
The meeting discussed the ongoing development of public-private partnership cooperation between the two countries, including the implementation of joint projects for constructing roads and tunnels, recognizing the agreements reached in this area, and the issue of cooperation in this sphere was discussed and current projects in the mentioned directions were reviewed.
In particular, negotiations were held on the project of reconstructing the 6–77 kilometer portion of the Bektemir—Chirchik—Ghazalkent—Chorboq fortress road with asphalt-concrete pavement and converting it into a tolled road based on public-private partnership.
It was noted that a few days before the meeting, the project was studied on site by experts from Onur Group company, the Ministry of Economy and Finance, and the staff of the Roads Committee.
At the end of the meeting, the parties reached an agreement on preparing the necessary documents for the implementation of the project and defining the next steps for its realization.
