“On the first priority measures for combating dust storms and improving the quality of atmospheric air” according to the President's Decree, the conceptual foundations for establishing the Green Central Asia fund and Central Asia climate issues center will be developed in discussion with Central Asian countries.
From the year 2030, the use of mazut as fuel in heating and power generation plants located in the territories of Tashkent city and adjacent Tashkent region will be prohibited.
In more than 1,200 greenhouses in the districts adjacent to Tashkent city, dust and gas cleaning equipment will be installed to reduce the negative impact of coal fuel on the environment, and a mechanism for granting subsidies to greenhouse farms for installing such equipment will be introduced.
In the years 2025–2030, "green belts" and "green gardens" will be established in a total of 441 hectares of land areas in Tashkent city and the adjacent Tashkent region.
From the year 2028, the use and sale of motor fuel of an ecological category lower than the “Euro – 4” standard will be gradually restricted.
