The amount of fees collected from Uzbek drivers in Afghanistan has been reduced.

The fee for the truck entering the territory of Afghanistan (3 thousand afghani) and for crossing the Amu Darya bridge (7 thousand afghani) has been set.

Uzbekistan has agreed to reduce the amount of fees and charges levied on Uzbek drivers within the country as a result of negotiations with Afghanistan. This was reported by the Ministry of Transport press service here.

According to this, the fee for the entry of a freight vehicle registered in Uzbekistan into Afghan territory was reduced to 3,000 Afghanis (approximately 53 dollars) from September 28. Previously, it was 5,000 Afghanis (76 dollars).

Similarly, the fee for crossing the Amu Darya bridge, which was previously set at 12,000 Afghanis (approximately 182 dollars), has now been set at 7,000 Afghanis (106 dollars).

The total amount of fees levied on Uzbek drivers within the country has been reduced by 6,500 Afghanis (approximately 99 dollars).

Today, the Ministry of Transport continues to work on creating favorable conditions for freight transportation via the Trans-Afghan multimodal transport corridor, and on optimizing the amount of fees charged, according to the report.
