The procedure for selecting candidates for the Zulfiya State Award has been established.

Applicants will be selected through competitions in 8 areas: science, education, literature, culture, art, sports, information technology, and public activities.

The Government Decree (No. 731, dated 01.11.2024) approved the regulations for selecting candidates and submitting their documents for the Zulfiya State Award, as reported by the Ministry of Justice.

Accordingly, procedures for selecting candidates for the Zulfiya State Award, formalizing and submitting their documents, as well as criteria for evaluating the candidates' achievements, scientific-creative, and practical works in various fields have been established.

Candidates are screened through competitions in 8 areas — science, education, literature, culture, art, sports, information technology, and community service.

The award is given to talented women aged between 14 and 30 who have become role models for their peers through their social activity and talent, for their achievements in education and professional work.

The selection of suitable candidates for each position in the respective areas is carried out in the following stages:

  • district (city) stage — from September 2 to October 20;
  • stage of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, regions, and Tashkent city — from October 21 to November 30;
  • republic stage — from December 1 to December 31.

The award is given annually to 2 representatives from each the Republic of Karakalpakstan, regions, and the city of Tashkent — totaling 28 candidates.

Prizewinners are awarded a diploma of recognition, a badge, and a cash prize worth 50 times the basic calculation value on the eve of March 8 — International Women's Day, in a ceremonial setting.
