President Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the Shaykhontokhur and Chilanzar districts and familiarized himself with the construction and landscaping works carried out in these areas. During the visit, it was emphasized that a 1.5-kilometer section of Bunyodkor Street has been completely transformed—now this area has become a 24-hour service and gastrotourism hub.
New jobs and entrepreneurship
In this area, 90 entrepreneurial entities are operating, 45 of which have been newly established. Importantly, all of them operate in a 24-hour work mode. As a result, 500 people have been provided with permanent jobs.
Landscaping and amenities
The new Bunyodkor Street features landscape design, lighting systems, and fountains, as well as all necessary facilities for dining, walking, and relaxation.
Benefits for neighborhoods and residents
Conditions have improved for 18,000 residents living in the nearby Kamolon, Yangi Kamolon, and Kamolon Darvoza neighborhoods. Additionally, the number of visitors to this area is planned to reach 1 million per year.
Toward a new tourism hub
Bunyodkor Street has joined the ranks of specialized tourism zones in Tashkent. In the coming years, plans include developing 26 more streets in this format across the capital and establishing 1,000 24-hour retail outlets.
These innovations in Tashkent are not only enhancing the city’s appearance but also contributing to job creation, entrepreneurship, and tourism development.
