Cases of illegal land sales have been identified in the regions of Tashkent, Andijan, Surkhandarya, and Khorezm. This was reported by the press service of the State Security Service.
During a rapid action conducted by the employees of the Tashkent regional department of the State Security Service, a lawyer of a law firm in Chinoz district and his sister were caught in the act of fraudulently registering 9.72 hectares of land leased for fish farming to a farm currently owned by a convict serving his sentence, based on the decision of the Chinoz district governor in 2016 for a period of 49 years, to the name of a buyer through acquaintances in state agencies in exchange for $35,000.
In another case, the previously convicted head of a limited liability company engaged in wholesale trade in Andijan city, colluding with a private entrepreneur, demanded $230,000 from a buyer in exchange for legally reclassifying and officially transferring 1 hectare of land allocated for the construction of greenhouse facilities in Asaka district based on the decision of the district governor in 2020, to build 30 cottage-type houses.
During a rapid operation carried out by employees of the Andijan regional department of the State Security Service, they were caught having received an advance of $30,000 of the demanded money.
In a rapid action carried out by the employees of the Surkhandarya regional department of the State Security Service, the head of a farm specializing in livestock in Jarkurgan district was caught with material evidence when they demanded 430 million UZS, having previously received $23,600 and 100 million UZS, for officially transferring 11 hectares of land leased for the production of livestock and agricultural products in 2015, based on the decision of the district governor for a period of 49 years, to the name of a buyer through acquaintances in cadastral offices.
During a rapid action conducted by the employees of the Khorezm regional department of the State Security Service, two citizens born in 1969 and 1980 in Urgench city were caught after demanding 350 million UZS in advance and having received 300 million UZS for officially transferring 5 sotiks of land from the reserve of the Urgench district administration to the name of an entrepreneur intending to build a service branch, through acquaintances in positions of authority.
Criminal cases have been initiated against the individuals involved, and investigative actions are being carried out.
