According to the results of the ranking of Asia's best universities for 2025 announced by the global higher education analysis agency, 23 higher education institutions from Uzbekistan have secured places in the top-1000. On November 6, the global analysis agency in the field of higher education (QS Quacquarelli Symonds) announced the sixteenth annual edition of the QS Asia University Rankings 2025 here.
According to the ranking results, 23 higher education institutions from Uzbekistan were included in the new ranking of Asia's best universities for 2025, marking an absolute record in the history of the country's higher education.
Of these, 11 institutions improved their positions, 2 maintained their positions, 9 were included in the ranking for the first time, and 1 institution lost its place. According to the new ranking results, Uzbekistan has become one of the most reliably improving countries in Asia.
For your information, the QS Asia University Rankings 2025 for the best universities in Asia in 2025 has covered 985 higher education institutions from 25 countries and territories of the region, including 127 of them being included in the Asia ranking for the first time.
The QS Asia University Rankings evaluates higher education institutions based on the following 11 indicators:
• academic reputation (voice of professors-teachers) — 30 percent;
• employer evaluation — 20 percent;
• ratio of professors-teachers/students — 10 percent;
• international research network (number of articles in Scopus) — 10 percent;
• citations per article — 10 percent;
• number of articles per faculty member — 5 percent;
• number of staff with PhD degrees — 5 percent;
• share of international faculty — 2.5 percent;
• share of international students — 2.5 percent;
• share of students from abroad under exchange programs — 2.5 percent;
• share of students going abroad — 2.5 percent.
