The first tourism train between Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan, departing from the city of Almaty, has arrived in Tashkent, reports "Dunyo" IA.
According to Kazakhstan's "Kazinform" international news agency, the initial tourism train was ceremoniously welcomed in the capital of Uzbekistan. It embarked on the "Almaty – Turkestan – Tashkent – Almaty" route.
Before arriving at Tashkent, the train passengers visited Turkestan, including the Mausoleum of Khoja Ahmed Yasawi, "Hazrat Sultan" historical-cultural reserve-museum, and the largest "Caravanserai" tourist complex in Central Asia.
Now, they will spend two days visiting attractions, exploring the beautiful nature, and historical sites of the capital of Uzbekistan.
A special tourist bus was provided for the passengers to move around the city. The tourist train journey lasted until November 20.
It is announced that the initial tour on the "Almaty – Turkestan – Tashkent – Almaty" route was conducted in a pilot mode. In the future, it might be organized once or twice a month.
