“Tashkent-AERO” Anti-Smuggling Department employees put an end to the illegal circulation of 29 “iPhone”s
The anti-smuggling team of “Tashkent-AERO” carried out a rapid search operation in the Yakkasaray district. This information was provided by the Press Service of "Tashkent-AERO" here.
During the operation, when inspecting a Lacetti car previously under surveillance belonging to a citizen of the Republic of Uzbekistan, it was found that in the front part of the car there were 5 units of “iPhone 16 Pro Max”, 7 units of “iPhone 16 Pro”, 8 units of “iPhone 15 Pro Max”, and 9 units of “iPhone 15 Pro” - a total of 29 mobile communication devices that had not undergone customs clearance, previously illegally imported into the territory of the republic. The citizen was caught by rapid response officers while selling these phones to a “conditional buyer”.
The total value of the smartphones amounts to 400 million soum.
Currently, pre-investigation checks are being conducted by customs authorities regarding this matter.
For your information, over the course of this year's 11 months, “Tashkent-AERO” has prevented 213 cases of illegal transportation of 4,419 mobile communication devices, totaling 14 billion soum.
