Cases of embezzlement of liquefied gas and gas cylinders have been exposed. The Department under the Prosecutor General's Office reports this.
The pre-investigation check conducted by the department's branch in the Oltiariq district revealed that the responsible persons of the "Oltiariqtumangaz" gas supply branch had entered false information into the electronic program about the delivery of a total of 58 520 kg of liquefied gas in 2,998 gas cylinders at a fixed rate of 1,600 UZS per kg to 153 households, and in reality, sold the gas-filled cylinders at higher prices to other individuals, embezzling a total of 262.4 thousand UZS in cash funds.
Similarly, the pre-investigation check conducted by the department's Bulakbashi district branch revealed that the responsible persons of the "Bulakbashitumangaz" gas supply branch had given away a total of 235 liquefied gas cylinders, with a total value of 98 million UZS, to other individuals without any documentation, thereby embezzling them.
Criminal cases have been initiated on these incidents under Article 167 of the Criminal Code (embezzlement or misappropriation by embezzlement), and investigative actions are being conducted.
