The league stipulates in the labor contracts to be registered that a minimum monthly salary is set, according to which the club must set a salary for its footballer not less than the minimum labor remuneration in Uzbekistan.
According to the information published on the PFL website, the amount of monthly salaries in professional football clubs continues to increase, however, there are a number of problems in encouraging young talents. A footballer receiving a salary in the form of the minimum amount of labor remuneration faces difficulties in covering his monthly expenses. In light of this, the Uzbekistan Professional Football League, in collaboration with the Uzbekistan Footballers' Association, has jointly submitted a proposal to the Uzbekistan Football Association on this matter. Until a unanimous decision is made by all three organizations in collaboration, the League will not register labor contracts that are less than five times the minimum amount of labor remuneration.
In parallel, work is being carried out on making amendments and additions to the “Regulations on the Status and Transfer of Players”. Significant changes will be seen soon in this matter as well. The status of a professional footballer will be reconsidered. In addition, issues related to training compensation and related matters will be more clearly regulated and submitted to FIFA for approval.
