Citizens have submitted complaints to the Committee and its regional branches regarding the low quality of services provided through taxis, issues related to payments and settlements, driver behavior, failure to deliver passengers to their destinations, and unjustified fare increases here.
As a result of raid activities conducted in Nurafshan city by the Tashkent regional transport department, it was discovered that drivers affiliated with “Davr Trans Service” LLC, operating on the “Nurafshan ASB-Kuchlik fortress-Arancha MCA” route (with a fare set at 2800 UZS according to the approved schedule), had been charging passengers between 5000-7000 UZS, artificially inflating prices.
In this regard, the Regional Transport Department, within the scope of its authority in protecting consumer rights, has informed the committee's Tashkent regional office and initiated measures. Investigations revealed more than 5 million UZS had been unjustly collected from consumers, and instructions were issued to the aforementioned LLC to refund the consumers.
When examining a complaint received from citizen Sh.Kh in the Kogon city of Bukhara region, it became apparent that Damas drivers operating on routes 103 and 114 had unjustly increased the fare and provided services accordingly.
The regional department, together with the “Transport control in Automobile and Water Transport” Bukhara regional unit, has checked the licenses of vehicles engaged in passenger transportation along these routes by placing route stencils. Administrative protocols were formalized against a number of vehicles involved in passenger transport activities without licenses and necessary permits.
Several citizens have submitted complaints to the management in Tashkent city that, despite paying the fare in cash when ordering Yandex taxi services, the fare was also withdrawn from the bank plastic card. Furthermore, there have been issues with the delivery of ordered celebration cakes, dishes, household appliances through taxis, such as incorrect delivery addresses, delays, or non-delivery, which have been positively resolved.
Global Star LLC has blocked the drivers who violated these rules on the YandexGo application, and the payments made by citizens for services not provided by Yandex taxi were refunded, totaling 1,009,000 UZS.
A complaint was received by the department in Jizzakh region from a resident of Pakhtakor district, O.Sh., expressing dissatisfaction with the taxi service provided by Online Plus LLC on the Jizzakh — Pakhtakor route. Investigations ensured the refund of overpaid fare amounting to more than 40,000 UZS to the citizen.
A complaint was sent to the Qashqadaryo regional department by a resident of Karshi city, A.F., unhappy with a Call Taxi employee taking excess money and behaving rudely. Investigations confirmed indeed that the taxi driver demanded a fare of 32,000 UZS instead of the supposed 12,000 UZS. The complainant was refunded the excess 20,000 UZS, and the taxi driver received guidance on proper use of the taximeter app and etiquette in dealing with passengers.
In Samarkand region, citizens S.A. and I.E. left complaints regarding rude behavior by taxi service employees and issues with orders and fare payments. Following investigations, Yandex taxi employees were warned to adhere to service regulations, and the citizens' complaints were resolved to their satisfaction.
A citizen residing in the “Yangiyul” MCA of Fergana city, O.I., complained about excessively charged 9500 UZS as a fare by Yandex taxi, despite multiple attempts, the service provider failed to refund the overcharged amount. The regional department investigated the matter and ensured the refund of the overcharged amount.
