In the session of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis, a draft law aimed at strengthening payment discipline in the field of waste collection and disposal services was considered in the first reading. The parliament press service reports this.

The draft law proposes amendments and additions that provide for informing consumers, who have debts on monthly payments for waste services, through short message service (SMS), and after warning about the occurrence of debt, in case of non-payment, to temporarily restrict their electricity payments until they have settled their debt for waste services.

During the session, the deputies adopted the draft law in the first reading with the condition of thoroughly revising it for the second reading, in a manner that fully strengthens the guarantees of consumer rights.
