A car fraudster from Uzbekistan was arrested in Istanbul.

Citizens who have faced grievances are requested to appeal to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Uzbekistan or its subordinate systems.

During a joint operation by the Ministries of Internal Affairs of Turkey and Uzbekistan, a person born in 1969, known as “I.U.B.,” who has been wanted since 2015 for committing numerous fraudulent crimes in the car sales industry, was arrested in the city of Istanbul and deported to the Republic of Uzbekistan on January 11, 2025, with the participation of Consulate General staff. This was reported by the Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Istanbul.

Citizens affected by this individual's actions are requested to contact the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan or its subordinates.

Consistent criminal prosecution will continue against every individual hiding in foreign countries, including Turkey, in order to evade criminal responsibility, and the principle of accountability for crimes will be strictly ensured.

 "Taking into account the increasing number of complaints regarding fraud cases received by our Consulate General recently, we ask citizens to be aware of fraudsters," the report says.
