According to the Information Service of the Internal Affairs Department of Navoi region, on the night from January 18 to January 19, on Islam Karimov street in the city of Navoi, Jasurjon Mukhammadov, an inspector of the road patrol service of the Traffic Safety Department of the Internal Affairs Department of Navoi region, signaled to stop to the driver of a Kia Sonet car, which was moving without a state license plate and violating traffic rules.
However, the driver disobeyed the inspector's demand, hit the inspector while violating the traffic rule, and fled the scene. The inspector died at the scene.
As a result of prompt investigative actions, it was determined that a 10th-grade student of the 8th general education school in the city of Navoi, born in 2008, S.M., was driving the Kia Sonet car belonging to his father without documents. The car was found hidden and then taken to the penalty area.
Currently, pre-investigation checks are being conducted by the Navoi city prosecutor's office regarding the situation.
