Today, a passenger plane caught fire at the international airport in the southeastern city of Busan, Republic of Korea, injuring 3 people during the evacuation injuries.
According to firefighters, the AirBusan plane, flying from Kimhae International Airport in Busan, located 320 kilometers southeast of Seoul, to Hong Kong caught fire in its tail section before taking off at 22:26. They added that all 169 passengers and 7 crew members were evacuated using an inflatable slide.
Firefighters arrived at the scene at 22:34.
Initially, there were no reports of casualties, but later fire departments announced that 3 people sustained non-life-threatening injuries during the evacuation.
The fire is believed to have started from the tail section of the plane and spread to the fuselage.
“We believe that all 176 people were evacuated, but we are searching for anyone who might have remained inside the aircraft, just in case”, — added the official.
