The 150th Jubilee Assembly of the Interparliamentary Union will be held in Uzbekistan on April 5—9, 2025, following the invitation by Shavkat Mirziyoyev. This was reported by the Senate press service here.
On January 30, an organizational committee meeting led by Tanzila Narbaeva took place in the Senate of the Oliy Majlis regarding the assembly. It was noted in the meeting that Uzbekistan's membership in the Interparliamentary Union was reinstated in 2017, and in the short period since, the country has significantly advanced in parliamentary governance and sustainable development, with its achievements being specifically recognized by major international organizations and foreign countries.
